Beginners Information
Hi, Welcome to LDA Tango School.
If you are an absolute beginner in Tango, we offer you a few options to start with your dancing experience.
At our School, we offer :
Option 1: Weekly Beginners Classes
on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7 pm at the West Wimbledon Society Hall, in SW20.
Option 2: We also offer Private Lessons.
As a new student, we suggest that you start with 2 initial private sessions so we can assess your needs, give you feedback and guide you on which class to join, independently if you have any previous experience dancing or not.
One-to-one sessions with Laura are perfect for anyone seeking personalised attention, tailored instruction, or wishing to work toward specific goals. They are especially valuable for those just beginning their Argentine Tango journey, offering a supportive and enjoyable learning experience. From your very first class, Laura will guide you through techniques and tango styles of your choice, helping you build confidence and connection with your dance partner. Solo dancers are also welcome!
Private classes are also recommended if you missed too many classes ( from when the group classes started at the beginning of the year) and you would like to catch up with the rest of the group.
Private classes are usually available at the weekends.

"I have really enjoyed Laura’s inspiring tango classes this year (the Beginners Course). Laura enthusiastically explains and demonstrates the techniques for beginners and improvers. Questions are always valued and lead on to fuller explanations to help us learn. It’s not just technique – Laura has also introduced us to the musicality of the dance".
